Komatsu North America has acquired SRC of Lexington, Inc. for an undisclosed amount. The acquisition sees Komatsu, a leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, integrate SRC of Lexington, an employee-owned company specializing in the remanufacture of heavy-duty components. SRC of Lexington provides remanufactured engines, engine components, hydraulics, and power-train products primarily for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and large customers across the construction, mining, and oil and gas industries.
Operating from a 77,000 sq ft facility equipped with modern machinery, SRC of Lexington is an ISO 9001:2008 certified supplier. Its extensive product range includes large diesel engines (11-78L), cylinder heads, fixed and variable displacement hydraulic pumps, travel motors, final drives, transmissions, torque converters, power modules, axle assemblies, differentials, and various pumps. The company also remanufactures brakes, suspension assemblies, engine components for natural gas engines, and air compressors, serving critical needs within heavy industrial sectors.
This strategic acquisition is expected to enhance Komatsu North America's capabilities in aftermarket support and sustainable product lifecycle management.
