Taptap Digital has acquired Skyrise, an ad-tech company specializing in data-driven audience building, for an undisclosed amount. The deal brings Skyrise’s technology platform under Taptap Digital’s ownership, expanding the acquirer’s capabilities in media planning and measurement.
Skyrise focuses on using anonymised network intelligence, location data, transactional insights, and real-world behavioural patterns to construct precise audiences for cross-channel campaigns. Its tools help advertisers and agencies move beyond traditional demographic targeting toward more granular, behaviour-based segments. Taptap Digital, which operates in the digital advertising space, will integrate Skyrise’s data infrastructure into its existing offering.
The acquisition is driven by a need to strengthen Taptap Digital’s data layer. By owning Skyrise’s technology, Taptap Digital gains direct access to proprietary audience-building methods that rely on offline and online signals. This reduces reliance on third-party data providers and allows for more controlled, consistent campaign execution across channels. For Skyrise, joining Taptap Digital provides a larger distribution network and operational resources that were previously out of reach as a standalone entity.
The transaction is expected to close in the coming quarter, with Skyrise’s team remaining in place to ensure continuity for existing clients. Taptap Digital will begin integrating Skyrise’s data products into its platform shortly after, with a focus on unifying measurement across display, video, and connected TV. No changes to Skyrise’s current client contracts have been announced.
The combined entity will offer a more complete stack for advertisers seeking to link real-world behaviour to digital outcomes. With Skyrise’s data assets folded into Taptap Digital’s infrastructure, the company is positioned to compete more directly with larger ad-tech platforms that already offer integrated planning and buying tools. The success of the integration will depend on how smoothly the two teams align their data standards and reporting formats.
