Coppice has acquired Sirane for an undisclosed amount, bringing together two distinct entities in the packaging and material science sectors. Sirane, established in 2003, specializes in product and process development with full manufacturing capabilities across diverse applications. Coppice, a division of the EP Group, is recognized for its scale, sustainability leadership, and prominent aluminium packaging portfolio.
Sirane’s expertise lies in designing and developing tailored solutions, rather than manufacturing standard products. The company focuses on absorbency, board, and flexible materials, with core skills in material science and design & process engineering. Its offerings include specialized absorbents, bio-degradable, bio-compostable, microwaveable, and ovenable materials, and protective solutions for the food, medical, laboratory, and horticultural industries. Sirane operates from its BRC-accredited facility in Telford, UK, maintaining a presence in North America.
This strategic acquisition is set to leverage Sirane’s innovative technical capabilities with Coppice’s extensive market reach and focus on sustainable practices. Coppice’s world-class aluminium packaging portfolio will be complemented by Sirane’s specialized, often eco-friendly packaging solutions, including compostable and plastic-free options. The integration is expected to accelerate product development and broaden the range of sustainable packaging solutions available to customers.
The combined entity will benefit from enhanced capabilities in material science and engineering, driving innovation at an accelerated pace. This union positions the companies to deliver more comprehensive, cost-effective, and environmentally conscious products across various sectors. The acquisition marks a commitment to advancing the standard of service and innovation in the packaging industry through integrated expertise and expanded operational scale.
