Veritas Capital has acquired Saber Power Services, a portfolio company of Greenbelt Capital Partners, for an undisclosed amount. The transaction marks the transfer of ownership of the Houston, Texas-based electrical power system services firm to the private equity investor, which focuses on companies providing critical products and services to government and commercial clients.
Saber Power Services operates as a fully integrated electrical power system services provider, delivering end-to-end solutions across utility, renewable and battery storage, industrial, petrochemical, and other markets. Founded in 2010, the company employs an engineering-led approach to design, install, test, and maintain medium and high-voltage electrical infrastructure. Its operations are structured through multiple wholly owned subsidiaries, including Saber Power, Saber Power Field Services, Bath Group, inoLECT, and CLC Engineering, offering services that range from turnkey EPC solutions to 24/7 emergency response and specialty power quality services.
For Veritas Capital, the acquisition expands its footprint in the energy and infrastructure services sector. The firm typically targets businesses where it can apply operational improvements and support long-term growth, and Saber’s established record of repeat business and high employee retention aligns with that model. The deal also provides Veritas with a platform to address growing demand for grid modernization, renewable integration, and battery storage projects, areas where Saber already holds significant expertise.
The acquisition is expected to give Saber access to additional capital and strategic resources to scale its operations, while maintaining its existing leadership and workforce. Veritas’s ownership may also facilitate expansion into adjacent markets and strengthen Saber’s ability to pursue larger, more complex projects. The combined entity will continue to operate under the Saber brand, with its Houston base remaining central to its activities.
With Veritas’s backing, Saber is positioned to deepen its service offerings and broaden its geographic reach, particularly as utilities and industrial clients increase spending on electrical infrastructure upgrades. The transaction closes a chapter for Greenbelt Capital Partners, which had supported Saber’s growth since its earlier investment, and opens a new phase focused on sustained operational development under new ownership.
