AirPro Diagnostics has acquired Revv, the Indian self-drive car rental and subscription platform, for an undisclosed amount. The deal transfers ownership of Revv’s operations, technology, and user base to AirPro Diagnostics, a company specializing in automotive diagnostic solutions and repair workflows for the collision repair industry. The transaction marks a definitive change in Revv’s corporate structure, moving it from an independent mobility startup to a wholly owned unit of AirPro.
Revv operates a fleet of over 40 car models across 11 Indian cities, offering hourly and daily rentals for local and outstation trips, as well as monthly subscriptions for longer-term use. The platform has served more than one million users since its inception. AirPro Diagnostics, on the other hand, provides cloud-based diagnostic tools and calibration services used by body shops and insurance carriers to assess vehicle damage and ensure repair accuracy. The two businesses operate in different segments of the automotive value chain, with Revv focused on consumer access and AirPro on post-collision technology.
The acquisition is strategic for AirPro because it gains direct access to a large, active user base and a live vehicle fleet. This data and operational footprint can feed into AirPro’s diagnostic and repair planning systems, potentially allowing for more precise pre-repair assessments based on real-world vehicle usage patterns. For Revv, the deal provides financial backing and an established corporate parent, which may ease capital constraints that often challenge asset-heavy rental businesses.
The combined entity will likely explore ways to integrate Revv’s fleet telematics with AirPro’s diagnostic platforms, though no specific product integrations have been announced. Revv’s existing management is expected to remain in place to run daily operations, while AirPro will oversee strategic direction and resource allocation. The acquisition does not involve any new funding round for Revv; it is a full transfer of ownership. The near-term focus will be on maintaining service continuity for Revv’s existing customers while AirPro evaluates how to leverage the acquired data and infrastructure for its core diagnostics business.
