Bernhard Capital Partners has acquired Revenew International for an undisclosed amount. The transaction transfers full ownership of Revenew to the private equity firm, which will now oversee the company’s operations and strategic direction.
Revenew operates as an independent control layer for organizations, focusing on validating supplier billing, ensuring contract compliance, managing tax recovery, and strengthening financial controls. With more than 26 years in operation, the company reports that it has helped clients recover and protect over $2 billion in value during that period. Bernhard Capital Partners, a services-focused investment firm, builds its portfolio around businesses with recurring revenue models and defensible market positions.
The acquisition is driven by a fit between Revenew’s specialized audit and recovery services and Bernhard Capital’s focus on professional and business services. For Bernhard Capital, the deal adds a firm with a long track record in a niche segment where demand for third-party verification is steady. For Revenew, joining a larger investment platform provides access to additional capital and operational resources that could support expansion of its service offerings or geographic reach.
The combined entity is expected to maintain Revenew’s existing client relationships and service model, with Bernhard Capital providing support rather than operational overhaul. The transaction does not involve any change to Revenew’s core function as an independent control layer, and no leadership changes have been announced as part of the deal.
With the acquisition complete, the focus shifts to how Revenew leverages the new ownership structure to scale its existing services. The firm’s established base of client recoveries and its independent positioning in the market give it a foundation to pursue broader adoption of its control layer services under Bernhard Capital’s stewardship.
