Pace® Analytical Services has acquired QuanTEM Laboratories for an undisclosed amount, integrating the nationally accredited environmental and food safety laboratory into its network. QuanTEM Laboratories, founded in 1989, specializes in comprehensive analyses of asbestos, environmental lead, and mold, adhering to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standards. The acquisition also includes QuanTEM Food Safety Laboratories, which provides microbiological and chemical testing for food products, dietary supplements, and environmental samples.
This strategic acquisition strengthens Pace Analytical Services’ offerings in specialized environmental and food safety testing. Pace, a provider of analytical services, enhances its capabilities by incorporating QuanTEM’s deep expertise and established accreditations, including those from the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA), National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP), and various state environmental programs. This integration is poised to broaden Pace's analytical footprint, particularly in areas critical to environmental health and safety, and food product compliance.
The combination is expected to yield significant synergies, leveraging QuanTEM's reputation for accurate analytical results, superior customer service, and timely turnaround times. QuanTEM's proficiency in asbestos, lead, and mold analysis, coupled with its active participation in proficiency testing programs, will complement Pace's existing network and expertise, potentially in its Building Sciences division. Furthermore, the inclusion of QuanTEM Food Safety Laboratories diversifies the combined entity’s portfolio into crucial food safety sectors.
Together, the combined entity aims to deliver an expanded suite of services and enhanced expertise to environmental and food safety professionals nationwide. This acquisition is set to reinforce commitment to quality, accuracy, and client support, providing comprehensive solutions across a wider range of analytical needs for health and safety. The integration is expected to benefit clients through streamlined access to specialized testing services and expanded technical resources.
