Genesis Group has acquired Proudi, the Australian pet food manufacturer known for its human-grade, high-meat recipes, for an undisclosed amount. The deal transfers full ownership of Proudi’s brand, production operations, and product portfolio to Genesis Group, which will now oversee the company’s day-to-day management and future expansion.
Proudi was founded on the principle that ingredient quality directly determines animal health. The company produces complete and balanced meals for dogs and cats using human-grade ingredients sourced in Australia, with recipes inspired by the prey model raw philosophy. Its formulations contain no grains, fillers, or additives and meet three international nutrition standards: AAFCO, FEDIAF, and PFIAA. Genesis Group, the acquiring entity, brings established capabilities in food manufacturing and brand stewardship, though its specific operational footprint was not disclosed in the announcement.
The acquisition is driven by Genesis Group’s interest in the premium pet nutrition segment, which has seen sustained consumer demand for transparent, high-quality feeding options. Proudi’s existing production capacity and its reputation for rigorous nutritional compliance offer Genesis Group a direct entry point into this market without the need to build a new brand from scratch. For Proudi, the transaction provides access to Genesis Group’s broader supply chain resources and distribution networks, which could help the brand reach a wider retail audience while maintaining its current product standards.
Both companies have indicated that Proudi’s existing recipes and manufacturing processes will remain unchanged, with the founding team staying on to oversee product development. The combined entity is expected to focus on scaling production volumes and expanding Proudi’s presence across domestic and international retail channels. The deal’s financial terms were not made public, and no further details on integration timelines have been released.
