Skimmer has acquired Pool Builder Geek for an undisclosed amount, a move that consolidates two software providers serving the pool construction industry. The transaction, finalized this week, brings Pool Builder Geek’s project management platform under Skimmer’s ownership, with the target company’s operations set to be integrated into Skimmer’s existing suite of tools.
Pool Builder Geek, developed by the team behind Mobile Pool Builder and Pentair Pool Builder, offers an all-in-one software solution built on the DiveIn Platform. Its features include real-time tracking of timelines, tasks, and budgets, automated scheduling and invoicing, a client portal for proposals and updates, and an integrated CRM for managing leads and contacts. The product was slated for a broader launch in September 2025, though its user base already includes hundreds of companies that relied on the earlier Mobile Pool Builder iteration.
For Skimmer, the acquisition adds a specialized project management layer to its portfolio, which previously focused on other operational aspects of pool service and construction. The strategic rationale centers on reducing fragmentation for contractors who currently juggle separate tools for scheduling, client communication, and job costing. By folding Pool Builder Geek’s capabilities into its own platform, Skimmer aims to offer a more unified workflow, eliminating the need for manual data transfers between systems.
The deal also brings a proven customer base, as Pool Builder Geek’s predecessor software was embedded in the daily operations of numerous pool businesses. Skimmer plans to retain the existing team and continue supporting current users, while gradually aligning the product roadmap with its broader ecosystem. No changes to pricing or support structures have been announced for existing Pool Builder Geek customers.
The combined entity will now compete more directly with larger construction management platforms, though its niche focus on pool builders remains a differentiator. With the September launch still on the calendar, the integration will likely accelerate feature development and expand the reach of the DiveIn Platform to Skimmer’s existing clientele. The success of the merger will depend on how smoothly the two teams merge their technical stacks and whether existing users adopt the combined offering without disruption.
