Ancasta International Boat Sales has acquired Penguin Engineering Ltd for an undisclosed amount. The deal transfers ownership of the long-established supplier of marine and leisure equipment to the international boat sales group, marking the completion of a purchase agreement between the two privately held firms.
Penguin Engineering distributes high-quality European manufactured equipment primarily for the marine industry, with a product range that also serves commercial projects, vehicle use, and the motorhome and touring market. Its catalogue includes taps, sinks, showers, cookers, hobs, BBQs, water filters, calorifiers, accumulators, pedestals, and struts. The company brings over 40 years of practical experience in the marine sector, offering technical advice alongside its distribution operations.
Ancasta International Boat Sales operates as a sales-focused organisation, and the acquisition adds a dedicated equipment supply arm to its existing activities. For Ancasta, the purchase provides direct access to Penguin’s established supplier relationships and its customer base across marine, commercial, and leisure vehicle segments. The move allows the group to broaden its offering beyond boat sales into aftermarket parts and fit-out components, a segment that has grown steadily in recent years.
For Penguin Engineering, joining Ancasta offers operational support and a larger commercial platform without changing its core distribution role. The company will continue to supply its existing product lines, with Ancasta expected to maintain continuity for current customers and suppliers. The acquisition does not alter Penguin’s distribution agreements or its focus on European-sourced equipment.
The combined entity will now cover both new boat sales and the supply of onboard equipment, giving Ancasta a more integrated position in the marine market. Over the coming quarters, the focus will be on aligning Penguin’s distribution network with Ancasta’s sales operations while preserving the technical service that has defined Penguin’s reputation.
