UB Media has acquired Pattison Outdoor for an undisclosed amount, significantly expanding its footprint in the Canadian Out-of-Home advertising market. Pattison Outdoor, a division of The Jim Pattison Group, is Canada's largest Out-of-Home, Digital, and Transit advertising company, established in 1908.
Pattison Outdoor provides a comprehensive range of OOH advertising solutions, including billboards, transit media, digital displays, and placements in airports, residential areas, and street furniture across 200 markets nationwide. Its portfolio includes Canada’s largest Digital Out-of-Home (DOOH) network through PATTISON Onestop, a leader in designing and operating such networks. The company also holds exclusive advertising rights for the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) and represents numerous other major transit authorities across the country.
This acquisition is strategically significant for UB Media, aiming to strengthen its position in the Canadian advertising landscape. By integrating Pattison Outdoor's extensive reach, diverse product offerings, and established client relationships, UB Media intends to enhance its market leadership and provide advertisers with a broader spectrum of innovative Out-of-Home solutions, combining Pattison's deep market penetration and specialized expertise.
Expected synergies from this combination include leveraging Pattison Outdoor's national infrastructure and robust digital capabilities. This will likely lead to more integrated campaigns, enhanced data analytics, and expanded opportunities across environments, from urban centers to specialized indoor spaces. The collective expertise in campaign planning, client support, and creative services is anticipated to benefit a wider range of brands and businesses.
The combined entity is poised to drive innovation in Out-of-Home advertising, offering unparalleled reach and diverse media options. This integration is expected to create a more dynamic player, delivering enhanced value to advertisers across Canada.
