Attindas Hygiene Partners has acquired Nonwovens Industry, the monthly trade magazine dedicated to the global nonwovens business, for an undisclosed amount. The deal transfers ownership of the publication, which has tracked the sector for more than 50 years, to the hygiene products company.
Nonwovens Industry serves as the only monthly magazine focused exclusively on the worldwide nonwovens trade. Its editorial team monitors industry trends, conducts market surveys, and reports on developments as they occur, while maintaining a presence at all major trade shows and conferences in the field. Attindas Hygiene Partners, a manufacturer of absorbent hygiene products, now adds this media asset to its portfolio.
The acquisition gives Attindas direct control over a long-established information platform within the nonwovens supply chain. For the magazine, ownership by an industry participant may open new avenues for editorial resources and market access, though the company has not disclosed specific plans for the publication’s operations. The purchase aligns with Attindas’ broader interest in strengthening its position across the nonwovens value chain, which includes raw materials, converting, and end-use applications.
Financial terms were not revealed, and no changes to the magazine’s staff or publishing schedule have been announced. The transaction is expected to close without regulatory hurdles, given the niche nature of the trade publication. Attindas will now oversee a media brand with decades of institutional knowledge, potentially using it to deepen engagement with suppliers and customers alike.
The combined entity will operate with the magazine’s established readership intact, while Attindas gains a unique vantage point on industry intelligence. How the two businesses integrate their day-to-day functions remains to be seen, but the deal secures the publication’s continuity under new ownership.
