Bounce, a prominent player in the travel services sector, has acquired Nannybag, the French-founded global luggage storage network, for an undisclosed amount. This corporate acquisition sees Bounce integrate Nannybag's extensive operations and technology, marking a significant consolidation in the temporary luggage storage market.
Nannybag, established in 2017 by Matthieu Ballester and Samir Senouci, developed a solution for travelers needing secure luggage storage between accommodations and departures. It grew to become a leading network, boasting over 10,000 partner shops, restaurants, and hotels across 40 countries and 500 cities, having stored over 1,000,000 pieces of luggage. The company also expanded its offerings in 2020 to include a door-to-door luggage collection and delivery service, collaborating with major partners such as AccorHotels and Flixbus.
The acquisition is strategically aimed at expanding Bounce's global footprint and enhancing its service portfolio. By integrating Nannybag's established network and operational model, Bounce is expected to significantly increase its market reach, particularly in Europe and other key international travel hubs where Nannybag has a strong presence. The addition of Nannybag's door-to-door service also introduces a new dimension to Bounce's offerings, providing travelers with more flexible and comprehensive luggage management options.
This move is anticipated to create substantial synergies, combining the strengths of both entities to deliver a more robust and accessible luggage storage solution worldwide. The unified network is poised to offer unparalleled convenience and reliability for travelers, further solidifying the combined entity's position as a leader in the evolving travel convenience market.
