JBC Technologies, Inc. has acquired NADCO Tapes & Labels for an undisclosed amount. The transaction, finalized this week, brings the Sarasota, Florida-based converter of custom tapes and labels under the ownership of JBC Technologies, a manufacturer of precision die-cut components and flexible materials. NADCO will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary, with its existing facility and workforce remaining in place.
NADCO specializes in custom labeling and tape products, offering capabilities such as 4-color process printing and up to seven spot colors on materials up to 20 inches wide. Its product line includes vinyl, film, cloth, duct, and metal foil tapes, as well as high-performance and double-coated products, pipe markers, and safety items. The company is also an UL-authorized label supplier and maintains a 35,000-square-foot warehouse in Sarasota, where it relocated from New Hampshire in 2005. JBC Technologies, for its part, focuses on converting flexible materials into precision components for industries including medical, electronics, and industrial equipment.
The acquisition is intended to broaden JBC Technologies' service offering by adding label and tape converting to its existing die-cutting and material conversion operations. For NADCO, the deal provides access to JBC's larger operational infrastructure and customer base, potentially opening new markets for its custom labeling and tape products. The combined entity will be able to offer a more complete range of adhesive-based solutions, from simple labels to complex multi-layer assemblies, without requiring customers to source from multiple vendors.
Management at both companies have indicated that NADCO's customer service model, which handles orders from start to finish, will be preserved. The Sarasota site is expected to remain a key production hub, with JBC Technologies supplying additional material sourcing and engineering support. The deal does not include any change in NADCO's leadership team, and existing customer contracts will be honored under the new ownership structure.
With the integration underway, the combined company is positioned to serve a wider spectrum of industrial and commercial clients seeking both precision die-cut parts and custom printed tapes and labels. The acquisition also gives JBC Technologies a direct presence in Florida, a region with a growing manufacturing base. Observers will watch how the two firms align their production schedules and quality systems over the coming quarters, as the success of the deal will hinge on seamless operational coordination between the two facilities.
