MARTIN GmbH für Umwelt- und Energietechnik has acquired LUEHR FILTER GmbH for an undisclosed amount, integrating the air pollution control specialist into the MARTIN Group. This acquisition represents a strategic move by MARTIN GmbH to expand its capabilities and market presence in environmental technology.
LUEHR FILTER, a family-owned company with over 80 years of experience, specializes in the development and construction of plants for air pollution control. With approximately 350 staff members at its head office in Stadthagen and subsidiaries in Austria and Poland, the company builds complete systems for separating particulate and gaseous pollutants from air and flue gases. LUEHR FILTER serves a global clientele across diverse industries, including incineration, iron and steel, non-ferrous metals, and ceramics, providing comprehensive services from project conception to after-sales support and producing essential core components in its own facilities.
The acquisition is designed to create significant strategic synergies, enhancing both companies' offerings in sustainable environmental protection. By bringing LUEHR FILTER into the MARTIN Group, the combined entity aims to leverage a strengthened worldwide network, bundle extensive know-how, and unlock new opportunities for projects incorporating various technologies from a single source. The LUEHR FILTER brand, alongside LAB (an existing market competitor within the MARTIN Group), will continue to operate independently for flue gas cleaning products.
This strategic integration is expected to solidify the MARTIN Group's position as a leading provider of environmental and energy technology solutions. The combined expertise and expanded global reach will allow for enhanced innovation and a more comprehensive portfolio of air pollution control technologies, benefiting customers worldwide through improved service and a broader range of sustainable solutions for industrial emissions.
