Caliber Company has acquired Key Collision Centers for an undisclosed amount. The transaction brings the New Hampshire-based auto body repair provider under Caliber’s corporate umbrella, expanding the acquirer’s footprint in the northeastern United States. Key Collision Centers will continue to operate under its existing brand, with its current leadership team remaining in place to manage day-to-day operations.
Key Collision Centers operates six locations across New Hampshire and a seventh service center in South Burlington, Vermont. The company specializes in auto body repair for all makes and models, with a focus on stress-free insurance claims, lifetime guarantees, and customer service. Caliber Company, a larger player in the collision repair industry, is acquiring the business to deepen its presence in a region where it previously had limited direct operations.
The acquisition is driven by Caliber’s interest in consolidating a fragmented market. By absorbing Key Collision Centers, Caliber gains immediate access to established facilities and a trained workforce in two states, avoiding the time and cost of building new shops from scratch. For Key Collision Centers, the deal provides access to Caliber’s broader operational resources, including supply chain management and administrative support, which could streamline its repair processes without altering its customer-facing approach.
Both companies share a similar service philosophy, which should ease the integration of Key Collision Centers into Caliber’s network. The acquired locations will retain their local management and staff, preserving the relationships with insurers and customers that Key Collision Centers has built over time. Caliber’s scale may also allow for more competitive pricing on parts and materials, though no specific financial projections have been disclosed.
The combined entity will now operate a larger network of repair centers across New England, with Key Collision Centers serving as a regional hub for Caliber’s expansion efforts. The immediate focus will be on maintaining service continuity at all seven locations while Caliber evaluates whether further acquisitions in adjacent markets are warranted. No changes to existing warranties or insurance partnerships have been announced.
