Norlee Group (NLG) has acquired Ireland Electric Corporation, an electrical construction company based in Augusta, Ga. The transaction was completed for an undisclosed amount, with terms of the deal remaining private between the two parties.
Ireland Electric Corporation, founded in 1957, provides commercial and industrial electrical work alongside a dedicated service department. The company has built a long-standing presence in the Augusta region, focusing on quality electrical service across a range of project types. Norlee Group, the acquiring entity, is expanding its operational footprint through this purchase, adding Ireland Electric’s established capabilities and regional expertise to its portfolio.
The acquisition is driven by a strategic fit between the two businesses. Norlee Group gains immediate access to a seasoned workforce and a client base rooted in over six decades of service, while Ireland Electric benefits from the broader resources and management infrastructure that a larger parent organization can offer. For Norlee, this move strengthens its position in the commercial and industrial electrical sector, particularly in the southeastern United States, without requiring a ground-up market entry.
Operationally, the combined entity is expected to streamline project delivery by integrating Ireland Electric’s service department with Norlee’s existing processes. This should allow for more efficient handling of both new construction and maintenance work, reducing redundancies in back-office functions while preserving the customer relationships that Ireland Electric has cultivated since its founding. No immediate changes to Ireland Electric’s day-to-day operations or its Augusta location have been announced.
The acquisition positions the combined company to pursue larger and more complex electrical contracts, leveraging Ireland Electric’s reputation alongside Norlee’s financial and managerial support. As integration proceeds, the focus will be on maintaining service continuity for existing clients while gradually expanding the geographic and project scope under the new ownership structure.
