Equal Parts has acquired Independence Insurance Agency, according to a LinkedIn post from the buyer. The deal was reported on September 25, 2026. The amount was not disclosed in the source.
The post describes the acquisition as a transportation-sector deal and the second in consecutive weeks, following a Texas transaction the prior week. It names Aaron Hollander and Luis Reyes among those joining Equal Parts with the Independence team.
According to the post, Independence gives Equal Parts a launching point in Florida, where the company says it now has operators on the ground and a foundation to build around as it looks to partner with and acquire additional agencies across the state.
The post states that adding depth in a category such as transportation brings specialized expertise, carrier relationships and more of the workflows that service the industry onto the company's platform. It says that the more transportation business that runs through Equal Parts, the more of those workflows the company can own, automate and improve through its AI operating system, which it describes as creating more leverage for every agency in the network.
The post refers to ProSource and Independence together as an example of a flywheel taking shape, and says Equal Parts intends to keep building its transportation practice.
