LVMH, the global luxury group, has acquired French Bloom, the market leader in super-premium alcohol-free sparkling wine, for an undisclosed amount. This acquisition marks a significant strategic move for LVMH, further diversifying its extensive portfolio of luxury brands and establishing a strong foothold in the rapidly expanding alcohol-free beverage sector. French Bloom, known for its 0.0% French sparkling wines, has rapidly gained international recognition since its inception.
Founded by Maggie Frerejean-Taittinger, Rodolphe Frerejean-Taittinger, and Constance Jablonski, French Bloom was established with a mission to create complex, depth-filled alcohol-free wines. The brand's collection, including Le Blanc, Le Rosé, L’Extra Brut, and La Cuvée Vintage 2022, is crafted from organic French Chardonnay and Pinot Noir wines and produced in Limoux, Languedoc. French Bloom has received multiple accolades, including being a three-time winner of the World's Best Alcohol-Free Sparkling Wine at the World Sparkling Wine Awards, underscoring its commitment to quality and innovation. It is currently present in over 50 countries, maintaining a strategy of exclusivity through premium retailers, high-end hospitality, and direct-to-consumer channels.
This acquisition builds upon LVMH's prior landmark investment in French Bloom in 2025, which signaled the group's initial entry into the alcohol-free space. The full acquisition now allows LVMH to fully integrate French Bloom's innovative approach and market leadership into its luxury ecosystem. The strategic rationale centers on capitalizing on evolving consumer preferences for sophisticated non-alcoholic options, aligning French Bloom's premium positioning and global reach with LVMH's expertise in luxury brand development and distribution. Synergies are expected through enhanced market penetration and leveraging LVMH's global network to accelerate French Bloom's growth trajectory.
The combination of LVMH's luxury market prowess and French Bloom's pioneering spirit in the alcohol-free category positions the newly combined entity to lead the super-premium non-alcoholic beverage segment. This move is anticipated to further elevate the perception and availability of high-quality alcohol-free alternatives within the luxury lifestyle market globally.
