Falcon Tower Crane Services Ltd has acquired Falcon Freight Ltd, its own haulage subsidiary, for an undisclosed amount. The transaction consolidates full ownership and control of the freight operations under the parent company’s direct management, effectively bringing the logistics arm back into the core corporate structure.
Falcon Freight Ltd was established in 2019 as a dedicated subsidiary to handle all haulage functions for the Falcon Tower Crane group. Its first major task, immediately after incorporation, was to facilitate the purchase of TJ Robins Ltd, a separate haulage business based in Dunstable. That earlier deal allowed the group to expand its transport capacity and client base in the southern regions, and Falcon Freight has since operated as the group’s primary logistics vehicle.
The rationale for this acquisition centres on simplifying the group’s corporate hierarchy. By absorbing Falcon Freight, Falcon Tower Crane Services removes a layer of separate legal ownership, which is expected to streamline administrative reporting and reduce overhead costs associated with running a distinct subsidiary. The move also aligns the haulage fleet more closely with the crane erection and lifting services that form the parent company’s core business, allowing for more direct coordination of equipment delivery and site logistics.
For customers, the change is unlikely to alter day-to-day operations, as the same management team and operational staff will continue to run the freight division. However, the integration is intended to improve internal efficiency, particularly in scheduling and resource allocation across both crane and transport projects. The Dunstable operation, inherited from the TJ Robins acquisition, remains a key asset within the combined entity.
The combined company will now operate as a single, vertically integrated business covering both heavy lifting and haulage. With ownership simplified, Falcon Tower Crane Services is positioned to respond more quickly to market demands, though no further acquisitions or expansions have been announced at this stage.
