Verdane has acquired Factbird for an undisclosed amount. The transaction transfers full ownership of the Copenhagen-based manufacturing intelligence provider to the European investment firm, which will take control of the company’s operations and strategic direction.
Factbird supplies manufacturers with a platform that collects, structures, and analyzes production data from any machine or process. Its tools give operators, process engineers, and plant managers real-time visibility into quality issues, downtime, and bottlenecks, enabling faster decisions on the shop floor. The company’s core offering is designed to turn raw production data into actionable insights without requiring deep technical expertise from end users.
Verdane, which focuses on growth-oriented technology companies, said the acquisition aligns with its broader thesis around industrial software and data-driven efficiency. The firm plans to support Factbird’s expansion into new manufacturing verticals and geographies, leveraging its existing network of portfolio companies that serve industrial clients. For Factbird, the deal provides access to capital and operational resources that would be harder to secure as an independent player.
The acquisition is expected to accelerate Factbird’s product development and sales capacity. Verdane’s experience in scaling software businesses should help Factbird refine its go-to-market approach and build out its customer base beyond its current footprint. The two companies have not disclosed specific integration timelines or leadership changes, but Factbird’s existing management team is expected to remain in place during the transition.
With Verdane’s backing, Factbird is positioned to deepen its presence in the manufacturing analytics market, where demand for real-time operational visibility continues to grow. The combined focus will be on expanding the platform’s reach while maintaining the product’s practical, shop-floor-first approach.
