swipejobs has acquired Expert360 for $16.0 million, a cash and stock transaction that brings the Australian talent marketplace under the control of the US-based workforce management platform. The deal, which closed this week, transfers ownership of Expert360’s operations, technology, and client relationships to swipejobs, marking the acquirer’s entry into the ANZ market.
Expert360 operates as a skilled talent marketplace across Australia and New Zealand, connecting organisations with pre-vetted consultants, contractors, fractional and interim executives, and permanent hires. The company also runs AI-native outsourced recruitment and contractor solutions tailored to professional services firms, both locally and internationally. swipejobs, by contrast, focuses on on-demand workforce management for large enterprises, using automation to source, onboard, and pay contingent workers at scale.
The acquisition gives swipejobs a direct foothold in the ANZ region and access to Expert360’s curated network of senior professionals, a segment that differs from swipejobs’ typical blue-collar and gig-worker focus. For Expert360, the deal provides the financial backing and technological infrastructure of a larger parent organisation, allowing its existing team to continue serving clients while integrating swipejobs’ automation tools into its recruitment workflows.
The combined entity will aim to offer a broader spectrum of talent solutions, from high-end consulting placements to volume staffing, across both the US and ANZ markets. Management expects to cross-sell Expert360’s professional services offerings to swipejobs’ corporate clients, while Expert360’s AI-driven recruitment capabilities could be adapted for swipejobs’ existing customer base. No changes to Expert360’s brand or leadership have been announced, and the company will operate as a subsidiary under swipejobs.
The transaction is expected to close without regulatory hurdles, and both companies have indicated that integration efforts will begin immediately. The success of the deal will likely hinge on whether swipejobs can preserve Expert360’s premium positioning while scaling its technology, and whether the Australian firm can leverage swipejobs’ enterprise relationships to expand beyond its current geographic footprint.
