ZenaTech Inc. has acquired ESM Software, LLC for an undisclosed amount. The transaction brings the developer of cloud-based strategy execution tools under ZenaTech’s corporate umbrella, expanding its portfolio beyond its core technology offerings.
ESM Software, formerly known as Palladium Group Inc., was founded by Dr. Robert S. Kaplan and Dr. David P. Norton, the creators of the Balanced Scorecard framework. The company provides a suite of cloud-based software products and FastTrack coaching support focused on helping clients execute corporate strategy. Its approach combines strategy development with Enterprise Performance Management methodologies, serving more than 600 clients across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.
For ZenaTech, the acquisition adds a specialized software platform and an established client base in the performance management niche. The deal is expected to broaden ZenaTech’s reach into enterprise software markets where strategy execution and operational alignment are priorities. ESM Software’s tools complement ZenaTech’s existing operations, allowing the combined entity to offer a more integrated solution to organizations seeking to link high-level goals with day-to-day performance tracking.
The transaction also brings the intellectual property and methodology associated with the Balanced Scorecard into ZenaTech’s portfolio. That framework remains widely used in corporate planning, and its integration into a larger technology provider could extend its accessibility to a wider range of businesses. ESM Software’s international footprint may also provide ZenaTech with additional entry points into regions where it previously had limited presence.
Post-acquisition, the focus will be on integrating ESM Software’s product line with ZenaTech’s existing systems while maintaining continuity for current clients. The combined company will aim to leverage ESM Software’s consulting expertise and ZenaTech’s technical infrastructure to deliver more comprehensive performance management offerings. The success of the deal will likely depend on how smoothly the two teams align their sales channels and product roadmaps in the coming quarters.
