Nasuni has acquired DryvIQ for an undisclosed amount, a move that brings together Nasuni’s file data platform with DryvIQ’s intelligent data management and governance technology. The deal, finalized this week, positions Nasuni to extend its capabilities beyond primary file storage into broader unstructured data management across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
DryvIQ, a Boston-area company with over 1,100 customers worldwide, specializes in an AI-driven platform that discovers, classifies, and governs unstructured data across sources such as Microsoft, Google, Box, and Amazon S3. Its technology automates data quality controls, supports intelligent migration, and prepares data for AI workloads. Nasuni, a leading provider of cloud-native file services, will integrate DryvIQ’s tools to help enterprises manage data sprawl, enforce compliance, and improve data readiness for analytics and AI initiatives.
The acquisition is strategic for Nasuni as it addresses a growing enterprise pain point: the explosion of unstructured data stored in disparate silos. By adding DryvIQ’s discovery and classification capabilities, Nasuni can offer customers a more complete solution for data governance and lifecycle management, reducing the need for separate point tools. For DryvIQ, joining Nasuni provides a larger distribution channel and a complementary platform, enabling its technology to reach a broader base of enterprise clients.
The combined entity is expected to deliver tighter integration between file storage and data intelligence, allowing organizations to automate policies around data retention, security, and AI readiness. Nasuni plans to continue supporting DryvIQ’s existing customers while gradually embedding its features into the Nasuni platform. The companies have not disclosed financial terms or specific integration timelines, but the deal is expected to close in the current quarter.
