Datavault AI, Inc. has acquired CyberCatch for $94.5 million. The all-cash transaction, which has closed, brings the cybersecurity software provider under Datavault AI’s corporate umbrella, expanding its portfolio beyond its core data and AI offerings.
CyberCatch provides a cybersecurity Software-as-a-Service platform tailored for small and midsize businesses. Its system allows an SMB to deploy security controls quickly and at a manageable cost, then continuously tests those controls from three angles: outside-in, inside-out, and social engineering. This automated probing identifies vulnerabilities and prompts fixes before attackers can exploit them to steal data or deploy ransomware.
For Datavault AI, the acquisition adds a recurring-revenue SaaS product to its existing lineup, which focuses on data management and artificial intelligence solutions. The deal is strategic because it broadens Datavault AI’s customer base to include SMBs, a segment that has faced rising cyber threats but often lacks dedicated security staff. CyberCatch’s automated approach fits well with Datavault AI’s technology stack, allowing the combined entity to offer a more complete package to clients.
The acquisition also provides CyberCatch with greater financial resources and a larger distribution network. Its platform can now be cross-sold to Datavault AI’s existing enterprise customers, while Datavault AI gains a foothold in the underserved SMB market. The transaction is expected to close without regulatory hurdles, and both companies have confirmed that CyberCatch’s operations will continue under its current brand.
The combined entity will focus on integrating CyberCatch’s platform into Datavault AI’s product suite over the coming quarters. Management has indicated that existing CyberCatch customers will see no disruption in service, and the company plans to expand the platform’s capabilities using Datavault AI’s research and development resources.
