Energys Group has acquired Cube, a specialist provider of turnkey energy and electrical infrastructure solutions for the public sector, for an undisclosed amount. The deal brings together two companies focused on the delivery of low-carbon technologies, with Cube’s operational expertise now sitting within Energys Group’s broader service portfolio.
Cube operates across three core business lines. Cube Lighting and Design focuses on LED upgrade projects, modernising outdated public sector lighting systems through assessment, design, and installation. Cube EV Chargers delivers end-to-end electric vehicle charging infrastructure, from initial planning through to commissioning, for workplaces and public facilities. Cube Solar provides full turnkey solar installations, managing system design, equipment supply, and professional setup. Together, these divisions offer an integrated approach to energy efficiency, cost reduction, and carbon savings for public sector clients.
For Energys Group, the acquisition expands its capability in the public sector market, adding a complete service model that spans design, supply, installation, and commissioning. The move is intended to strengthen Energys Group’s position in the growing demand for sustainable infrastructure upgrades, particularly in lighting, EV charging, and renewable energy. By absorbing Cube’s specialised teams and project delivery methods, Energys Group can offer a more comprehensive range of services to existing and prospective customers.
The transaction is expected to create operational efficiencies by combining Cube’s technical expertise with Energys Group’s established client relationships and project management resources. Public sector organisations seeking to meet long-term sustainability objectives may benefit from a single provider capable of handling multiple energy-related upgrades, reducing the complexity of managing separate contractors for lighting, charging, and solar work.
The combined entity is positioned to pursue a wider pipeline of public sector contracts, leveraging Cube’s turnkey approach and Energys Group’s scale. Integration of the two teams will be the immediate focus, with the goal of delivering seamless service continuity for ongoing projects and building a stronger platform for future growth in the energy infrastructure sector.
