Capacity has acquired chattigo for $60.0 million in an all-cash transaction. The deal, which closed earlier this week, brings the Latin American customer experience platform under the ownership of the U.S.-based AI company. Chattigo will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary, retaining its brand and current leadership team.

Chattigo provides a unified platform for managing customer service conversations across more than ten digital channels, including WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook Messenger, Telegram, and web chat. The software also integrates with major CRM and ticketing systems such as Salesforce, HubSpot, and Zendesk, and includes a chatbot builder for automating routine inquiries. Capacity, for its part, develops AI-powered knowledge management and automation tools designed to streamline internal workflows and customer support operations.

The acquisition is driven by a complementary fit between the two product lines. Capacity’s core strength lies in natural language processing and automated responses, while chattigo’s value rests on channel aggregation and conversation routing. By combining these capabilities, the merged entity can offer a more complete solution: chattigo’s multi-channel interface feeding directly into Capacity’s AI engine for resolution. This reduces the need for customers to stitch together separate vendors for chat management and intelligent automation.

For chattigo’s existing client base, the change in ownership is expected to bring deeper AI features into their current workflows without requiring a platform migration. Capacity gains immediate access to chattigo’s established presence in Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking markets, broadening its geographic reach beyond its current focus. The transaction also adds a roster of mid-market and enterprise customers that rely on chattigo for daily high-volume chat operations.

The combined company will now focus on integrating the two platforms over the coming quarters, with an emphasis on ensuring that existing chattigo users can adopt Capacity’s AI tools gradually. No immediate changes to pricing or support structures have been announced. The success of the deal will likely hinge on how smoothly the technical integration proceeds and whether cross-selling opportunities materialize across the expanded customer base.
