SEPTEO has acquired Backyou, a European provider of cloud-based software for managing hotel groups and events, for an undisclosed amount. The transaction brings Backyou’s platform, which is used by more than 2,000 accommodations across Europe, under SEPTEO’s ownership. Backyou’s client roster includes brands such as B&B Hotels, Sofitel, Le Negresco, Holiday Inn, Best Western, and Novotel, among others.
Backyou develops an all-in-one solution designed to streamline the sales process for hotel group and event bookings. Its features include customised commercial proposals, automated contracts and invoices, payment tracking, meeting-room calendars, CRM tools, and dashboards. The platform also integrates with major property management systems and sales tools, including Mews, Opera Cloud PMS, Salesforce, and D-Edge. The company serves hotels, hotel chains, hostels, holiday villages, campsites, and event venues.
For SEPTEO, the acquisition expands its footprint in the hospitality technology sector. By adding Backyou’s specialised group and event management capabilities, SEPTEO gains access to a dedicated sales workflow tool that complements its existing offerings. The deal is expected to allow SEPTEO to offer a broader suite of solutions to accommodation providers, particularly those seeking to optimise group revenue and operational efficiency.
The combined entity will aim to leverage Backyou’s established European customer base and its connectivity with multiple PMS platforms. SEPTEO can now integrate Backyou’s technology into its broader portfolio, potentially accelerating product development and cross-selling opportunities. The acquisition also strengthens SEPTEO’s position in a niche segment where demand for digital tools is growing as hotels seek to automate manual processes.
With Backyou’s technology and SEPTEO’s resources, the merged operation is positioned to deepen its support for hotel sales teams across Europe. The focus will be on maintaining service continuity for existing clients while exploring ways to scale the platform to new markets and property types. Further integration details are expected to be communicated as the companies align their roadmaps.
