Samsonite has acquired B for $210.0 million in an all-cash transaction. The deal, which closed earlier this week, transfers full ownership of B to the luggage and travel goods manufacturer. B will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary, retaining its existing management team and operational structure.
B delivers a comprehensive range of services to more than 100 customers in the Federal, State and Local, and Higher Education and Nonprofit markets. Its portfolio includes managed travel programs, procurement solutions, and expense management support tailored to public-sector and institutional clients. Samsonite, best known for its suitcases and travel accessories, has been expanding its presence in business-to-business travel services over the past two years.
The acquisition gives Samsonite a direct foothold in the government and education travel segment, a market with recurring demand and long-term contracts. B’s established relationships with over 100 institutional clients provide a stable revenue base that complements Samsonite’s consumer-focused sales. For B, joining Samsonite offers access to greater capital resources and a broader distribution network, which could accelerate its service expansion without requiring new external funding.
The purchase price of $210.0 million represents a multiple of roughly 8 times B’s trailing twelve-month earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization, according to a statement from Samsonite’s finance department. No additional financial details were disclosed. The transaction was funded through existing cash reserves and a short-term credit facility.
With the integration underway, the combined entity will focus on cross-selling Samsonite’s corporate travel gear to B’s institutional clients while leveraging B’s service platform to offer bundled travel management packages. Samsonite expects the unit to contribute to consolidated revenue growth in the next fiscal year, though no specific targets have been published. The company has indicated that B’s leadership will remain in place to ensure continuity for its existing customer base.
