Aquila Group and ESR have signed an agreement for ESR to acquire Aquila Clean Energy APAC. The deal stage is agreed; the sources do not disclose the amount.
Aquila Clean Energy APAC said it has grown since its launch in 2020 from a small team into a 1.6 GW clean energy platform, with more than 75 colleagues across six markets and projects spanning solar, wind and battery storage.
The company described the transaction as an important milestone in its journey and said it positions Aquila Clean Energy APAC for its next phase of growth with an owner whose regional footprint and capabilities are highly complementary to its platform.
Aquila Clean Energy APAC said its focus remains on progressing its clean energy projects across Asia Pacific and delivering on its commitments to its partners and stakeholders as it moves through the next steps in the transaction.
