Tillo has acquired Amilon, the Italian digital gift card and payment technology company, for an undisclosed amount. The deal brings Amilon under the ownership of Tillo, a move that consolidates Tillo’s position in the European digital value market.
Amilon, headquartered in Italy, has operated for 18 years and was the first company to introduce digital gift cards in the country. It provides proprietary technology for creating, managing, and distributing digital gift cards, serving merchants, brands, and corporate clients across Europe. Its operations include subsidiaries in Spain and Poland, and its business spans digital reward solutions, retail technology through its MYND platform, and media engagement tools under the Future Buyers brand. Tillo, the acquiring party, is a provider of digital value infrastructure, enabling businesses to connect with gift card and reward networks.
The acquisition is strategic for Tillo as it expands its direct footprint into Southern and Eastern European markets, where Amilon has established relationships and local expertise. Amilon’s in-house developed platform and its experience in corporate welfare and loyalty programs complement Tillo’s existing distribution capabilities. For Amilon, joining Tillo provides access to a broader international network and additional resources to scale its technology across new regions.
The combined entity is expected to offer a more comprehensive suite of digital value solutions, from issuance to distribution, across a wider geographic base. Tillo gains Amilon’s merchant-focused tools and its track record in media-driven gift card applications, while Amilon’s clients may benefit from Tillo’s cross-border integrations. The transaction is anticipated to close following customary conditions, after which the integration of Amilon’s operations into Tillo’s structure will begin.
