Flagship Group has acquired Amigo Tours for an undisclosed amount, bringing the global tour operator under its corporate umbrella. The transaction, finalized this week, transfers full ownership of Amigo Tours to Flagship Group, which will assume control of its operations and brand.
Amigo Tours has operated for over two decades, connecting travelers with local cultural experiences across America, Europe, and Asia. The company currently offers more than 270 daily experiences across 10 countries and ranks among the top 10 largest tour operators worldwide. Flagship Group, a diversified travel and hospitality holding company, adds this scale to its existing portfolio of tourism-related businesses.
The acquisition gives Flagship Group direct access to Amigo Tours’ established distribution network and its inventory of daily, locally guided activities. For Amigo Tours, joining Flagship Group provides access to broader capital resources and back-office infrastructure, which could support expansion into new markets without the need to build those capabilities independently. Flagship Group’s existing relationships with hotels and transport providers may also create cross-selling opportunities for Amigo Tours’ product line.
Amigo Tours will continue to operate under its current brand, with its existing management team remaining in place to oversee day-to-day activities. Flagship Group intends to integrate financial reporting and procurement functions over the coming quarters, while leaving the tour design and local partnerships that define Amigo Tours’ offerings largely untouched.
The combined entity will hold a stronger position in the organized tours segment, particularly in regions where both companies already have a presence. With Flagship Group’s backing, Amigo Tours is positioned to deepen its footprint in existing countries and evaluate entry into adjacent markets, though no specific expansion plans have been disclosed.
