Holiferm has acquired Alzo International Inc. for an undisclosed amount, bringing the specialty cosmetic ingredient supplier under its ownership. This corporate acquisition integrates Alzo International, a company established in 1975, known for its extensive range of ingredients for the global cosmetic and personal care industries. The transaction represents a direct purchase of Alzo International by Holiferm.
Alzo International has built a reputation as a leading global supplier of specialty ingredients used in skin, beauty, hair, and sun formulations. Its product portfolio includes the Dermol, Bernel, Elefac, and Wickenol esters, Necon, Nequat, and PolyNecon cationic conditioners, Polyderm polyurethane emollients, and NuLastic silicone elastomers. The company also offers Dermothix polymeric rheology modifiers and the BioMade series of emollients and emulsifiers derived from natural hempseed oil. Alzo is RSPO SCCS Certified, reflecting its commitment to sustainable sourcing, particularly regarding palm oil, and its production subsidiary, Pharmetics MFG. LLC, provides contract manufacturing services.
This acquisition is intended to broaden Holiferm's product offerings and expand its presence within the personal care market. The integration of Alzo's diverse ingredient technologies, including its sustainable and naturally derived solutions, is expected to complement Holiferm's existing capabilities. The combination of Alzo's research and development expertise with Holiferm's resources aims to foster innovation in cosmetic ingredient development and production.
The combined entity is positioned to offer a more comprehensive suite of solutions to customers worldwide, leveraging Alzo's established product lines and its commitment to environmentally responsible practices. This move is anticipated to enhance operational efficiencies and strengthen the market position of the unified business in the specialty chemicals sector.
