Mercer Acquires Altamar CAM Partners, Expanding Private

Mercer has acquired Altamar CAM Partners for an undisclosed amount, significantly expanding its capabilities in private markets and investment advisory services.

Altamar CAM Partners is a prominent asset manager specializing in providing institutional investors, including insurance companies, pension funds, and financial institutions, as well as private high net-worth clients, efficient access to private markets.

This includes private equity, venture capital, life sciences, real assets, and private debt/credit, facilitated through international managers across primary, secondary, and co-investment strategies.

This transaction represents a corporate acquisition, with Mercer taking ownership of Altamar CAM Partners.

Altamar CAM Partners brings approximately €16 billion of historically committed capital and assets under distribution, supported by a team of 220 professionals across offices in Madrid, Barcelona, Santiago de Chile, New York, and Cologne, with additional presence in Taipei and Vancouver.

Beyond its core asset management, Altamar CAM also operates Altamar Advisory Partners, offering independent financial advice and merchant banking services for M&A, IPOs, financing, and debt restructuring.

Its subsidiary, Altamar Global Investments AV, provides direct access to funds managed by leading managers in private debt, absolute return, and traditional equity and fixed income.

The acquisition is strategically aimed at enhancing Mercer's global investment solutions and advisory offerings.

Altamar CAM Partners' deep expertise and established platform in private markets will complement Mercer's existing wealth management and investment consulting services, allowing for a broader and more diversified suite of options for clients.
