SEFAS Group has acquired Alpha Pacific Transport Group for an undisclosed amount. The transaction, which has been completed, transfers full ownership of the Indonesian logistics operator to SEFAS, a move that expands the acquirer’s footprint in Southeast Asia’s freight and supply chain sector.
Alpha Pacific Transport Group specialises in comprehensive logistic support, offering end-to-end cargo handling, warehousing, and distribution services for clients operating within Indonesia and across international routes. Its established network in the archipelago, a region with complex maritime and overland logistics challenges, has made it a reliable partner for businesses moving goods through one of the world’s largest island nations.
For SEFAS Group, the acquisition addresses a clear gap in its existing service portfolio. By bringing Alpha Pacific’s operational capabilities in-house, SEFAS gains direct access to a mature logistics infrastructure and local expertise that would otherwise take years to build organically. The deal is expected to strengthen SEFAS’s ability to serve multinational clients who require seamless connections between Indonesian markets and global trade lanes.
The strategic rationale centres on operational integration. SEFAS plans to combine Alpha Pacific’s regional distribution assets with its own international freight management systems, allowing for more efficient route planning and reduced transit times for customers. The combined entity will also benefit from shared administrative functions and consolidated purchasing power, which should improve cost efficiency across both organisations.
The newly formed group is positioned to offer a more complete logistics solution, from origin to final delivery, with a particular strength in the Indonesian corridor. While the purchase price was not disclosed, the integration process is expected to proceed over the coming quarters, with a focus on retaining Alpha Pacific’s existing client relationships and workforce. The combined operation will aim to capture a larger share of the growing intra-Asia trade flow, leveraging Alpha Pacific’s local reach and SEFAS’s broader network.
