Daybright Financial has acquired ACAPrime, the ACA compliance reporting firm operated by ChannelBound LLC, for an undisclosed amount. The transaction brings the specialized reporting services of ACAPrime under the Daybright Financial umbrella, expanding the acquirer’s capabilities in employer compliance and benefits administration.
ACAPrime provides full-service Affordable Care Act reporting for employers across the country, managing the entire process from data collection and eligibility analysis to IRS filing, employee form distribution, and state-specific requirements. The firm also handles complex scenarios that automated payroll modules often miss, including look-back measurement tracking, IRS letter responses, and RxDC reporting for small groups. Daybright Financial, which focuses on financial and benefits solutions for businesses, will integrate these services into its existing offerings.
The acquisition is driven by a practical need: employers face growing scrutiny over ACA compliance, and errors in reporting can lead to costly IRS penalties. By bringing ACAPrime’s expertise in-house, Daybright Financial can offer a more complete compliance package to its clients without relying on third-party vendors. The deal also gives Daybright access to ACAPrime’s established processes for handling state-specific reporting and employee form production, which are often the most time-consuming parts of ACA administration.
For ACAPrime’s existing clients, the change in ownership is expected to be seamless. The firm’s team and operational workflows will remain in place, ensuring continuity in ongoing reporting cycles. Daybright Financial gains a dedicated compliance unit that can serve both current customers and new prospects seeking a single provider for financial and regulatory needs.
The combined entity will focus on cross-selling compliance services to Daybright’s existing client base while maintaining ACAPrime’s direct relationships with employers. The immediate priority is completing the current reporting season without disruption, followed by a gradual integration of service offerings. No changes to staffing or client contracts have been announced.
