Rocket Pool Secures $100

Rocket Pool, a next-generation Ethereum proof of stake (PoS) infrastructure service, has secured $100,000 in its latest funding round.

The company is developing a highly decentralised and distributed platform designed to be compatible with Casper 2.0, Ethereum's new consensus protocol slated for late 2019.

Rocket Pool aims to enable any user or business to earn interest on their Ether holdings for a fixed term without the need to maintain extensive staking infrastructure.

The service provides a plug-and-play solution for various entities, including businesses, corporations, pool operators, wallet providers, exchanges, and hedge funds, to offer their users the option to earn returns on Ether deposits.

Rocket Pool's origins trace back to late 2016, following the release of Vitalik Buterin's Mauve paper, which outlined an early functional specification for Ethereum's Casper protocol.

Since then, the project has evolved into a comprehensive staking network.

This capital infusion is intended to support Rocket Pool's ongoing development and expansion efforts.

The funds will be directed towards enhancing its staking network, which also empowers users who wish to stake on their own nodes by providing additional income on top of interest awarded by Casper.
