The largest financial institution in the Kyrgyz Republic by client count, Kompanion Bank, has secured $100K to further its mission as a leading community development financial institution in Central Asia. The new capital will support its work in offering development products and services to entrepreneurs and individuals, fostering the growth of micro- and small businesses, and promoting social entrepreneurs.
Kompanion Bank represents the culmination of 12 years of micro credit work by Mercy Corps, established as an enduring legacy to the people of the Kyrgyz Republic. Its objectives also include leading social enterprise innovation and promoting natural resources conservation.
