2PointZero has acquired Traverse Midstream Partners LLC for $2.3 billion. This corporate acquisition sees 2PointZero take ownership of Traverse Midstream, a company specializing in strategic, non-operated ownership in midstream infrastructure. Traverse Midstream was formed in June 2014 by The Energy & Minerals Group (EMG) to build a portfolio of non-operated midstream assets. Its current portfolio includes significant non-operated stakes in the Rover Pipeline and Ohio River System, established through key relationships and joint ventures with operators such as Energy Transfer Partners. Traverse Midstream's operational model focuses on partnering with best-in-class operators and providing strategic capital for midstream businesses.

The acquisition provides 2PointZero with immediate access to Traverse Midstream's established asset base and its experienced management team. Traverse's team brings expertise in M&A, joint ventures, commercial, and financial structuring across virtually every domestic production basin and midstream asset type. This strategic move is expected to enhance 2PointZero's footprint and capabilities within the energy infrastructure sector, leveraging Traverse's proven ability to identify and develop accretive non-operated assets. The integration of Traverse's operational approach and its focus on strategic partnerships aligns with potential expansion opportunities for the combined entity.

Prior to this acquisition, Traverse Midstream had secured nearly $1 billion in total financing to fund its initial investments and was actively pursuing further equity funding to support additional growth projects and acquisitions. This transaction marks a significant consolidation in the midstream market. The combined organization is positioned to pursue further strategic growth, capitalize on new opportunities, and enhance its overall value proposition within the evolving energy infrastructure landscape.
