# Signalbase > Signalbase is a real-time company signal layer for go-to-market teams. It detects funding rounds, acquisitions, job changes and hiring as they happen, verifies each event against its source, and delivers it with full company and people context over an API, webhooks, MCP, CSV or a dashboard. Signalbase B.V. is based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and is led by CEO Georgi Furnadzhiev. The company sells the event layer underneath a GTM stack rather than a static contact database: the question it answers is what just happened at a company and when, not who the company is. **What it detects.** Funding rounds (round type, amount, currency, announced date, investors with lead flags), acquisitions (acquirer, target, deal type, amount, date), job changes (person, previous and new role, seniority, department), hiring signals (open roles, seniority, department, full job description, including executive posts that appear before a role reaches a job board), investors (type, geography, ticket size, portfolio), and company profiles (industry, HQ, employee count, LinkedIn URL, decision-makers). Every signal carries the source it was detected from. **How it is delivered.** A REST API, webhooks, an MCP server at https://mcp.trysignalbase.com/v2 for AI clients (the root URL stays available for existing connections) such as Claude Code, CSV enrichment for lists you already hold, and a dashboard. Documentation is at https://docs.trysignalbase.com. **Where it stops.** Signalbase carries no email addresses and no phone numbers. It returns the company, the event, the verified source and the social profiles of the people involved, so reaching a named person needs a contact data provider alongside it. Signals open conversations; they do not replace a sales process. **Pricing.** Plans start at EUR 99 per month including 2,000 credits, with a 7-day trial that includes 500 credits. A credit is spent when a signal is delivered rather than when a lookup is attempted, so searching and filtering are unlimited. Custom data implementations and higher-volume infrastructure plans are priced per use case. **Original research.** Signalbase publishes its own studies rather than citing vendor claims. In a study of 474 funded companies, the median gap between a round closing and the first observable hire was 35 days, and 63% of hires were announced before the role was ever posted publicly. Executive hiring posts typically surface three to four weeks before the same role reaches a job board. **Contact.** General and sales: georgi@trysignalbase.com. Between 1 June and 15 August 2026 we captured 950 venture rounds across 933 tech companies, 5,450 senior job changes including 605 C-level arrivals, and 5,914 open roles at 1,001 companies. The shape of it: 59% of rounds pre-seed to seed, revenue roles outnumbering any single engineering title, and four job posts in six thousand that mentioned an autumn start date. Summer is not quiet, it is unobserved. - [What a hiring signal actually tells you](https://www.trysignalbase.com/article/what-a-hiring-signal-actually-tells-you): A job description is a competitive briefing, and most GTM teams throw it away. We mined 411 hiring signals from the last 30 days and measured what is really extractable, dimension by dimension: tech stack on 59%, benefits on 55%, compensation shape on 44%, reporting lines on 24%. Ten real excerpts with the read on each, the honest coverage picture, and why the hire is one step in a sequence that only makes sense next to funding, job changes and M&A. - [Job board posts are a lagging indicator. The hire starts weeks earlier.](https://www.trysignalbase.com/article/job-board-posts-are-lagging-indicators): We just expanded the hiring signal to capture executive posts, and this is the reasoning. By the time a role reaches a polished job board, the decision to hire is weeks old: the network was asked first, the founder already posted about it, and an external agency spent the gap crafting the description. The board is where a role goes public, which is exactly when it stops being an edge. - [How to write a signal-based copy that converts in 2026](https://www.trysignalbase.com/article/how-to-write-a-signal-based-copy-that-converts-in-2026): Insights from vetted experts and our own approach to booking calls with CEOs with 8 to 10 digits in revenue. After 700+ demos, the pattern is clear: most signal-based engines fail because the copy is generic at the exact moment it needs to be specific. Relevance beats personalization, the consequence beats the event, and the signal should never be a line in the message. - [Is the fundraising signal still useful in 2026?](https://www.trysignalbase.com/article/is-the-fundraising-signal-still-useful-in-2026): LinkedIn loves to call it dead. We pulled data on 474 funded startups in 2026 and found the median company waits 35 days between the funding announcement and the first observable hire, Series A is 3× slower than Series C, and 63% of first signals are job changes rather than job posts. The funding signal isn't the buying signal. It opens a watching window. - [Most list-building advice is built for one motion. Yours has two.](https://www.trysignalbase.com/article/the-new-wave-of-list-building): Outbound vendors say outbound. Inbound vendors say inbound. The real GTM engine runs both motions, three outbound paths and two inbound paths, feeding the same shared proof layer. Here is the structure the LinkedIn posts won't show you. - [What Is an Actual GTM Engineer in 2026?](https://www.trysignalbase.com/article/what-is-a-gtm-engineer): What is a GTM Engineer in 2026? 18 podcast episodes, 1,046 GTM job posts, and a 40+ comment LinkedIn debate triangulated. A GTM Engineer builds the system behind revenue, not the person who connects the tools. - ["Signals" is the fastest-growing buzzword in B2B GTM. Nobody agrees what it means.](https://www.trysignalbase.com/article/signal-based-go-to-market-vs-intent-data): 1,378 GTM job posts analyzed. Marketing teams use 'intent data' and 'intent signals.' GTM Engineering teams use 'signal-based' and 'buying signals.' Same vocabulary, two completely different infrastructure stacks. Here's what each actually means in 2026. - [The B2B Dilemma: Should You Hire a GTM Engineer or a RevOps Person?](https://www.trysignalbase.com/article/the-b2b-dilemma-should-you-hire-a-gtm-engineer-or-a-revops-person): 1,046 active job posts analyzed. 7× more RevOps roles than GTM Engineers.
